The Everest Software System is a custom enterprise resource planning system for K-12 school districts in Fresno County. Everest empowers users at all levels by providing a single integrated system with:

• Comprehensive business management functionality for Education: payroll, HR, finance, fixed assets, warehouse management
• Specialized modules for managing teacher credentials and staff fingerprinting
• Adherence to state accounting standards and regulations for Education
• A web-based employee portal and routable electronic forms suite that can be accessed by all staff, extending beyond the Business Office

County offices of education are the intermediate level of the public education system in California. Serving 32 school districts and more than 200,000 students, Fresno County Superintendent of Schools has a legislative mandate to ensure that school districts remain fiscally solvent and in compliance with state and federal laws. Moreover, county offices serve as a safety net for students with special needs, offering direct services for migrant, special education and court and community school students.

County offices also provide a full range of support programs and services. These include professional training and staff development, curriculum, business and finance support, health and pupil personnel services, as well as legislative and public policy leadership and advocacy at the local, state and federal level.
